I have studied sharks for 35 years and I love wildlife is correct. These are dogfish and they are members of the Tope family and yes they are Sharks, just like the oceanic Blue Shark which is also a member of the Tope family.

Sand sharks DONT live on sand w/o water... Period.
Sand sharks have nasty spikey razor sharp flesh tearing teeth, these look like baby sand or dusky sharks more like the sand sharks. Anyways, they dont BLEED either unless DEAD or WOUNDED. BEfor eyou spread things, you should do research Kallie

well they arn't dead according to the imformation on the net I found they are called sand sharks and bleed like that, so they are meant to be on sand and in water. So they are not dead.
